Bad SEO Practices

Admittedly, search engine optimization ?manipulates? SERPs in a way by optimizing websites, but there are certain practices that push the limit, and they are considered bad. These so called black-hat techniques tend to spam, defeating the purpose of providing relevant information and are more focused on getting the top spots. Here is a list of [...]

Keyword Density: The Right Mix

Winning in keyword density is one of the key goals of any search engine optimization project. Search engines have become more intelligent over the past years that previous practices of simply peppering a web page with keywords or key phrases no longer helps to make a website rank. What matters most now is putting just [...]

LSI formatted content

Resource Library

Search engine algorithms dictate that a website keyword rich in content will rank better than one that does not have the supporting documentation on their website. Blackwood Productions in house development team are firm believers that CONTENT IS KING!

A search engine sends out what we in the industry call spyders, these spyders crawl the entire internet and report back to the search engine what they have found. Essentially you can say that when a search engine spyder gets to your website it is there to give your website a test (grade), and compare your results to the rest of the websites that are competing for a set of specific keywords.

The simple truth of the matter is Blackwood Productions can help your website prepare for the search engine spyder test. Lets put it this way, if you know what is going to be on a test before its given then its not hard to make a good grade every time. Blackwood Productions creates the Resource Library written around each of the keywords that you want to get a good grade on.

The Resource Library is written in LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing) format. What is Latent Semantic Indexing you ask? Search engines use LSI as a part of their (grade) algorithm . For instance, if one of your keywords that you wanted to rank well for was “Cat” then a search engine might also be looking for the keyword “Feline” because it is a proven synonym of the word “Cat”.

By writing the Resource Library in LSI format we not only cover this part of the “TEST” but we also cover the basic need of having the supporting keyword documentation within your website. Each keyword on this page is then linked over to another supporting document page totally written about that keyword and your business. By branding yourself to the keyword you then become a part of the community and are therefore rewarded by the search engines which simply put gets you listed in the top of that search engine.

When doing a search for something on a search engine you get back what’s called SERP’s (Search Engine Results Pages). The results pages contain within them sometimes millions of results for the keyword that you are searching for. These results are displaying pages that they deem to have something to do with the keyword you are searching for. Now that your website has the Resource Library written in LSI format you are able to beat out millions of other pages that show up in these results simply because they do not have this invaluable resource to help their website achieve the best search engine marketing goals.
